Capacity Building Programme on Artificial Intelligence

KIIT World School recently had the honor of organizing an insightful and forward-thinking Capacity Building Program on Artificial Intelligence, aimed at enhancing technological awareness and competencies among educators and students alike. The event was graced by Mr. Debasish Mohanta, Manager (Technology and Innovation) at Learning Links Foundation, a distinguished figure in the field of emerging technologies and innovation-driven education. During the session, Mr. Mohanta shared in-depth knowledge on the evolving landscape of Artificial Intelligence, including its real-world applications across industries such as education, healthcare, finance, and beyond. He emphasized the growing importance of AI in everyday life and how developing a foundational understanding of these tools can empower educators and learners to thrive in a technology-driven world.

Innovative Teacher Training Workshop

A two-day workshop at KIIT World School, led by esteemed educationist Ms. Padma Prabhu and sponsored by the Royal Society of Chemistry, UK, and the Yusuf Hamied Professional Development Programme, focused on innovative teaching pedagogies aligned with NEP 2020. The training equipped teachers with active learning techniques, hands-on activities, and AI tools to enhance classroom engagement across subjects. Through practical exercises and discussions, teachers explored diverse strategies, addressed common misconceptions using diagnostic questions, and developed student-centered lesson plans, fostering a collaborative and enriching professional development experience.

Prioritizing Mental Health

Educators from KIIT World School participated in the two-day NPSC Conference at India International Centre, New Delhi, themed ‘Nurturing Minds: Fostering Mental Health and Wellbeing.’ The event highlighted the importance of addressing mental health in education through expert-led panel discussions and sessions on emotional safety, technology, and self-expression. Speakers like Mr. Ajay Kumar (IAS Retd.) emphasized AI’s role in emotional resilience, while Dr. Swaroop Sampat Rawal advocated for the performing arts in education. The second day featured insights from notable figures including Mr. Chetan Sharma, Mr. VVS Laxman, Mr. Amitabh Kant, and diplomat Mr. Deepak Vohra, exploring the broader impact of mental wellbeing on society.

Capacity Building Programme in Secondary Mathematics - (CBSE)

Mathematics, often referred to as the language of the universe, holds a significant place in our lives. It is the foundation upon which many disciplines and industries thrive, and it plays a crucial role in shaping our understanding of the world.

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) / केंद्रीय माध्यमिक शिक्षा बोर्ड (सी.बी.एस.ई.), Centre of Excellence /उत्कृष्टता केंद्र, Delhi West conducted a Capacity Building Programme on Mathematics Secondary on Friday, 23/06/2023 and Saturday, 24/06/2023. The programme was open to teachers of all West Delhi schools. The resource persons, Mr. Subhash Chandra Raute and Mr. Syed F. Sattar, shared their experiences about learning and teaching Mathematics. The session was well equipped with a lot of fun-filled and engaging activities such as passing your whole body from a single A4 size sheet, conceptual understanding through paper folding etc. The teachers also learnt about Geogebra, a wonderful ICT tool for engaging children to impart 21st century skills to them. The teachers also performed error analysis towards understanding the most common errors made by students during class. The entire focus of the workshop was on developing a love for Mathematics amongst children as a step towards learning and understanding the real life applications of Mathematics. The resource persons also shared various competency based questions to support teachers in improving the learning outcomes of their students.

The workshop included a short test that was given to all the participants to gauge their learning from the workshop. The interactive sessions, which were spread over a period of two days, concluded with a discussion on the rationalised syllabi of the Board classes.

KIIT World School, Pitampura Delhi hosted a workshop for the private and unaided schools of Zone XI for training on filling the U-DISE form. Shri Rakesh Rahi, DDE district, North-West B, and Shri Pradeep Bhardwaj, Distt. Coordinator, were present along with master trainers from U-DISE.
