Independence from mediocrity, from bias, from bigotry and from ignorance is the greatest victory a nation can hope to achieve.

We pledged to take India towards Excellence, Equity, an Evolved Society and Enlightenment in a unique celebration of Independence Day.

Each of us wore the colours of India with pride and respect. An impressive NCC marchpast set the tone for the day. Tableaux displayed themes of a stronger India built around initiatives such as NEP 2020, Beti Bachao Beti Padhao, Make in India and G20. Under KIIT Project Smile, students from Upasana School joined us in a celebration of diversity. The event was graced by honoured Chief Guests, Mrs. Shikha Bhardwaj, Municipal Councillor, Ward No. 58, Saraswati Vihar, and Shri Suresh Kaushik, Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP), Narela, both exemplars of public service. Our message to break the bonds of mediocrity, gender bias, bigotry and ignorance was beautifully portrayed in performances of traditional folk dances and patriotic songs, that stayed in our minds after the notes of the national anthem faded away.
